The PROPANE EDUCATION & RESEARCH COUNCIL (PERC) has an amazing opportunity for a Senior Manager, Autogas Business Development. The first energy council of its kind, PERC, a non-profit, works with retailers, consumers, and partner industries to drive technology development in order to expand adoption of propane as a clean, domestic, and affordable energy source. This remote position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is classified as exempt.

 

Job Summary:
The Senior Manager of Autogas Business Development is responsible for maximizing propane Autogas gallon sales in transportation and related market and for developing the market strategy, tactics, and business plan to increase the likelihood of decision makers to specify propane in transportation applications, supporting the launch of new products, maintaining and growing existing market segments, and identifying new growth opportunities. This role requires continual outreach and collaboration with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and decision makers in the transportation market as well as a close partnership with PERC staff and industry volunteers to achieve the objectives of the council strategy. The senior manager is responsible for advancing the development of Autogas infrastructure to drive adoption.

 

Requirements:

  • Identifies goals and quantifiable metrics that demonstrate successful implementation of the market strategy.
  • Demonstrates consistent progress towards achieving goals through written reports and verifiable data.
  • Develops new relationships and fosters existing relationships with manufacturing partners.
  • Builds and leverages relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serves as a liaison between the propane industry and the Autogas market.
  • Serves as an Autogas market subject matter expert, including staying updated on market trends, forecasts, and technologies.
  • Delivers results on schedule and on budget.
  • Consistently deploys diplomacy, professionalism, and confidentiality.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • 5+ years of directly related experience.
    • Thorough understanding of the Autogas markets.
    • Comprehensive business case analysis experience.
  • Diverse verbal and public speaking skills – from event podium to conference room.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Excellent judgement.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Prior experience with organizations such as Clean Cities Coalitions, professional trade organizations, and dealer networks.
  • Exhibits the values of the organization: Collaborative, Dependable, Respectful, Purposeful, Customer-Focused.

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree.


Working Conditions:

Office Work Environment – Flexible location (25%-50%) / Travel (up to 50%)
