Description

What are My Key Responsibilities?


 



  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and execute business use cases for LLMs, including applications such as information extraction, summarization, classification, insights generation, etc. and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. 

  • Transform complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders through effective presentations and reports.

  • Work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure accurate and efficient implementation of LLM solutions.

  • Apply deep learning models and ancillary language-related techniques such as RAG for various business focused tasks including text generation, text summarization, text classification, sentiment analysis, etc. evaluate model performance, and iterate on model designs to improve accuracy and efficiency. Develop presentations to communicate insights and recommendations.

  • Assist with implementation of foundational components of generative AI, including model fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architecture, agent-based AI systems, etc. to establish a robust and scalable AI infrastructure that drives business innovation and growth.

  • Conduct research and stay up to date on the latest advancements in NLP, LLMs, generative AI, and related fields.

  • Build trusting collaborative relationships with clients of all levels. Identify opportunities to leverage LLMs and AI solutions within company.



What is Required?


 



  • 4+ years’ experience in data science, or software development, or similar work

  • Related Master’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics/Statistics, etc.

  • Proficient in programming languages (R, Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, SQL, etc.) and LLM frameworks such as LangChain.

  • Experience in one or more core industry sectors, preferably healthcare

  • Superb written and oral communication skills with ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it in an engaging way.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and collaboration skills 

  • Strong understanding of model fine-tuning and experience in adapting models for specific use cases. 

  • Proven success in engaging and influencing effectively with a wide range of people, including senior executives, clinicians, sales people, and consumers.

  • Capable of balancing priorities of simultaneous projects and demands.


 


What is Preferred?


 Florida Blue or other Guidewell company experience



  • Experience working in health insurance

  • PhD in a related field

  • Work experience in a health care and/or insurance setting 

  • Desire to continue to improve computational, statistical, and data science skills


 


General Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $111,400 - $139,200, within a full annualized salary range of  $111,400 - $181,000

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
