Overview






The Instructional Designer contributes to the design, development, and execution of all training programs for our Retention organization. Reporting to Vice President of Retention, this position will build, develop, and execute training programs based on the needs of the Retention department. The Instructional Designer assists in ascertaining and developing training materials as well as continuing education coursework for the organization to enable our employees the required knowledge, skills, techniques, and motivation to perform and service our customers at the highest level.

 









Responsibilities






Build, develop and execute training programs based on the needs of the organization.

• Design, develop, and create Retention training materials, including training manuals, onboarding materials, facilitation guides, assessments, training activities, role play scenarios, self-paced study, and performance evaluation tools.

• Responsible for content creation and maintenance of collateral such as presentations, video editing and e-learning.

• Assist with the creation and maintaining of training materials in our Learning Management System (Cornerstone) in step with corporate policies and protocols.

• Conduct regular training needs analysis to determine training solutions for the Retention department that will provide knowledge, skills, and positively impact business performance.

• Design curriculum for continuing education and leadership development programs.

• Develop effective business relationships with leaders, team members, and subject matter experts.

• Employ a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of training program.

• Develop effective measurement strategies that track reporting and KPI’s.

• Provide logistical and administrative support for trainings, including scheduling, pre-hire planning, and operation of these events for remote locations.

• Proactively engage with Product and Marketing to identify new releases and create training resources regarding product changes and GTM initiatives.

• Understand and apply adult learning principles and theories.
• Support company-wide business initiatives for growth and retention by serving as a team resource to the Retention department.









Qualifications






Bachelor’s degree required, in Instructional Design or similar preferred.

• 6 years’ instructional design experience required, preferably in adult learning designing, curating, and delivering learning solutions.

• 6 years’ experience in adult learning as an L&D specialist designing, curating, and delivering learning solutions.

● Extensive experience working with Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone-On-Demand preferred)

● Education Architecture background preferred.

● Advanced skills with content authoring tools including Articulate 360 (Articulate Storyline and Articulate RISE), AdobePro Suite, Adobe Captivate, PowerPoint, and PhotoShop.

● Advanced understanding of L&D and training/adult education activities.

● Experience working with video creation software.

● Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

● Creative problem solver who uses data to make informed decisions.

● Innovation: ability to support the implementation of new processes, identify training gaps and offer solutions.

Compensation Information






Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $77,000.00 - $93,000.00
