Medical Billing Specialist - Not a Remote Position

Cancer Specialists of North Florida is recruiting for an experienced Medical Billing Specialist for our busy Central Business Office. This is not a remote position. The Billing Payer Response Specialist researches and resolves clearing house and payer rejected claims. Document all information related to claims processing in PM system. Completes daily billing for all locations and providers. Any special projects assigned by the department supervisor. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: 

• Daily billing process for all locations and providers
• Daily resolution of all rejected/failed claims in the PM system
• Route claims needing additional attention to the correct department for handling
• Ensure the resolution of claim issues is routed for clarification
• Request additional information as needed to resolve issues
• Resubmission of claims

• Run daily/weekly reports and any reports requested by management from the PM system
• Back up to System Support Specialist

• All other duties as assigned by Management

Full-time Position, Monday – Friday

Education and Experience: 

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of one year of related experience and/or training
