SUMMARY  
The LMS Administrator & Instructional Designer is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s LMS (Learning Management System), Paycom, while also delivering training resources.  In addition, they are responsible for the maintenance and administration of the electronic quality document control system.  The position will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation and operation of our organization's online learning programs and systems.  LMS Administrator & Instructional Designer will play a leading role in ensuring the organization’s Quality Management System is effective to support service operations, continuous improvement and meets ISO9001:2015 standards.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as primary point of contact for LMS administration. 
  • Manages the implementation of training curricula and assignment to learner roles. 
  • Fully understands LMS capabilities with breadth and depth and maintains the LMS and all supporting tools, content, 
  • Works with stakeholders to standardize, document, streamline and coordinate learning processes and best practices. 
  • Develops, builds, and maintains all elements related to LMS functionality, including but not limited to content integration and creation, curriculum programs, and LMS structure. 
  • Create, test, and troubleshoot learning content. 
  • Present training confidently and professionally (in-person, virtual and pre-recorded) 
  • Provides help resources and training guides, including instructional videos, how-to guides, and FAQs related to using the LMS and instructional technology. 
  • Ensures training content is always running properly and facilitates the escalation of LMS technical issues to CCS IT and Paycom Specialists for assistance.   
  • Develops reports that are concise, intuitive, and actionable for organizational usage, completion, satisfaction, and other critical learning and content metrics. 
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements. 
  • Notify departments of completed certifications or failed assessments. 
  • Manage and maintain controlled documents in eQMS. 
  • Review all electronic documents submitted to document control for correct formatting, spelling and clarity of text before releasing as published/approved documents. 
  • Assure appropriate documentation is uploaded into quality systems/databases and available for use. 
  • Manages circulation of documents for review and approval. 
  • Assure quality documentation is kept up to date, accurate, and organized. 
  • Assist with writing and revising of quality procedures and other documents. 
  • Supports organizations with document requests (SOP, Log sheet templates, Training Document requests.) 
  • Support all document change controls 
  • Support the company in meeting the requirements for its ISO 9001:2015 certification, plus any future updates released by ISO.   
  • Maintain Quality Objectives and ensure they are consistent with Quality Policy.  
  • Process reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing Document Control metrics.   
  • Responsible for practicing CCS Safety, Health & Environment guidelines in daily work.  
  • Work with the Quality team as required to support the activities of the team including, but not limited to initializing and improving policies, systems, and procedures. 
  • Assist in preparing Quality Metrics for the Quality Management Review  
  • Ensure the company meets the requirements for its ISO 9001:2015 certification. 
  • Ability to travel domestically 15-20% of the time 
  • All other duties as assigned by manager. 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 3+ years of LMS Administration experience in a regulatory environment (healthcare/medical device/pharmaceutical industry)
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and curriculum design
  • Effective troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with content creation using tools such as Articulate, Camtasia, Storyline, Canva etc.
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software
  • Experience working with team members remotely, using phone, email and online collaboration tools effectively.
  • Experience planning, organizing and presenting training confidently and professionally (in-person, virtual and pre-recorded)
  • Ability to problem-solve in the face of ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task
  • Good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with Paycom LMS
  • Instructional Design certification (i.e. Association of Talent Development)
  • Adult learning
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead auditor certification

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. 
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION  

  • Role is remote (ideally located in central part of U.S.)
  • At times employee will work in a manufacturing space when providing training
  • Position requires 15-25% domestic travel
