WS & Co are specialists in Hospitality Accounting, Tax and Finance, with multiple offices in the UK & one in the US. We are looking for an experienced Tax and Statutory Accounts Manager to lead and manage multiple operations of the tax practice area and to deliver quality tax services, that will increase firm’s reputation. You will serve as business advisor to our clients, using your astuteness to achieve qualitative outcomes while maximising engagement.

In this dual role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax management while also playing a key role in the preparation and drafting of statutory accounts. Your expertise in tax compliance, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements will be essential to ensure our organisation remains in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns, including income tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Assist with tax planning strategies for clients

  • Prepare tax returns accurately

  • Maintain client records in accordance with regulations

  • Tax Reporting: Prepare and review tax provisions, calculations, and disclosures for financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.

  • Tax Research: Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, providing guidance to the organisation on their impact and potential opportunities.

  • Tax Efficiency: Collaborate with finance and business teams to structure transactions and operations in a tax-efficient manner.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate tax-related matters clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process, addressing queries and providing necessary documentation.

  • Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Process Enhancement: Continuously assess and improve financial reporting processes and procedures for efficiency and accuracy.

About you

· A drive to make a difference.

· 1+ years of experience in tax accounting, including a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations.

· Proven experience in financial reporting and statutory accounts preparation.

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).

· Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

· Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to work on several clients at one time.
