Description

The Junior Financial Analyst will provide support to the Financial Analyst and Senior Financial analyst team to prepare, summarize, and analyze company financial and operational data. This role is primarily focused on data gathering, validation, and maintenance to support the budget and forecast process and monthly/quarterly financial reporting of the analyst team. This position in based in our corporate headquarters located in Greenwood Village, CO and is a hybrid role. 

 

Reports to: Manager, Financial Planning 

 

Principal Job Duties: 

  • Data Management: research, maintain, and organize financial data to ensure consistency and accuracy. Help manage spreadsheets and models used for analysis 

  • Financial Analysis support: collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to support business decisions. Assist in evaluating financial performance by preparing graphs, charts, and other data tables to summarize key financial metrics, variances, and trend analysis 

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: assist in the planning and execution of NSA’s annual budgeting process, which includes the preparation of materials and summarizing results 

  • Collaboration: work closely with other NSA departments to gather and validate data, understand operations, and provide insight to support financial analysis. 

  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

This position may be required to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time. 

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • Experience writing reports and presentations 

  • Initiative and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy. 

  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing analytical demands during peak analysis periods. 

  • Beginner-to-intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office with exposure to Excel and Powerpoint 

  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements. 

  • Ability to independently create and present ideas; Intellectual curiosity. 

  • Ability to work independently or as a team, with the ability to manage competing priorities. 

 

Education and Experience: 

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Real Estate or similar field of study 

  • A recent university or college graduate, or early-career professional with up to 1 year experience. Internship experience would be an asset. 

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products, with knowledge of Excel formulas and graphs

Compensation Range: $50,000 - $62,000 

 

Reports to: Manager, Financial Planning 

 

FLSA Status: Exempt
