Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated HR Manager to oversee HR and Talent Acquisition operations for our government contracting subsidiaries. The HR Manager will ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in the government contracting sector while managing the full cycle of recruitment to meet staffing needs. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in HR management, particularly in government contracting, and a proven ability to lead recruitment efforts and support operational HR functions.

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance, including affirmative action programs, EEO, and other regulatory requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop staff
  • Ability to embrace change, learn quickly, and thrive in a dynamic corporate environment.
  • Skill in working harmoniously within cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically, both verbally and in writing, with co-workers and with outside agencies, partners, shareholders, and business associates
  • Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to adapt messages and strategies for diverse audiences.
  • Basic understanding of relevant software, tools, and systems used in the corporate environment. This includes a proficiency in standard software applications, including Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent years experience
  • 5 - 7 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in HR management, particularly in a government contracting environment
  • Experience leading HR operations and Talent Acquisition teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR
  • ADP Workforce Now and Deltek experience
  • Proficiency in HRIS and reporting tools
  • Previous experience working with Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs)
  • Previous government contracting experience.

The salary range for this position is $129,500.00 - $168,400.00 annually.

Responsibilities






Essential Job Functions:

  • HR Operations Oversight:
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the HR team
    • Oversee HR compliance for government contracting, ensuring all processes align with legal requirements and industry standards
    • Serve as the point of contact for escalations related to government contracting issues
    • Ensure effective execution of recruitment strategies to meet organizational staffing needs
  • Compliance Reporting:
    • Ensure timely and accurate compliance reporting, including affirmative action programs, EEO-1, OHSA, VETS-4212 filings, and other relevant reports
  • Employee Relations & HR Support:
    • Provide support to HR operations in employee relations to ensure fair and consistent application of policies
    • Manage ethics point complaints, ensuring they are handled in a consistent and compliant manner
  • Government Contracting Compliance:
    • Oversee HR activities related to government contracts, ensuring all compliance requirements are met and that HR practices support contract fulfillment and business objectives
