Responsibilities






Position Overview: Detail-oriented Financial Analyst specializing in analysis of expenses including payroll expense, costing allocations, and decision support. Responsible for conducting comprehensive expense analysis, developing financial models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive cost-saving initiatives and ensure financial accuracy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expense Analysis:
    • Conduct comprehensive expense analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and trends.
    • Analyze historical expense data to uncover patterns and anomalies.
    • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on expense findings for management review.
  • Financial Modeling:
    • Develop and maintain financial models to support expense forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
    • Utilize advanced Excel functions and financial software to create accurate and dynamic models.
    • Regularly update models to reflect changes in business operations and market conditions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand expense drivers and provide recommendations for cost control.
    • Work closely with departments to gather necessary data and insights.
    • Facilitate meetings and discussions to align on expense management strategies.
  • Expense Monitoring:
    • Monitor and analyze expense accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
    • Conduct regular audits of expense reports and transactions.
    • Implement controls to prevent discrepancies and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Management Support:
    • Provide guidance and support to management on expense-related matters, including the preparation of ad hoc analysis as needed.
    • Assist in the development of expense policies and procedures.
    • Offer strategic insights to senior management to aid in decision-making processes.
  • Industry Trends:
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in expense management and financial analysis.
    • Attend relevant workshops, seminars, and conferences.
    • Incorporate new methodologies and technologies into the expense management process.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Assist in the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Identify areas for process automation and implement solutions.
    • Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate new tools and systems.
  • Payroll and Staffing Expense Analysis:
    • Analyze payroll and staffing expenses to ensure alignment with productivity benchmarks.
    • Evaluate staffing levels and payroll costs in relation to operational efficiency and productivity goals.
    • Provide recommendations for optimizing staffing levels and payroll expenditures.
    • Develop and maintain reports on payroll trends and staffing costs for management review.
    • Collaborate with HR and department managers to understand staffing needs and control payroll expenses.








Qualifications






 Requirements:  

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 6 years of relevant experience

Preferences:

  • Advanced degree in business, analytics, or related degree
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and data visualization tools.
  • Proficiency in advanced functions in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of financial policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management and project management skills.








Pay Range






USD $84,031.09 - USD $126,046.63 /Yr.
