Mercury Hampton is currently representing a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial Pumps based out of Houston. We are seeking an experienced, Highly motivated and driven Business Development Manager to join a global scaling business based in Stamford covering the Connecticut state.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years Business Development experience selling industrial Pumps into OEM and End Users. You will have a proven sales background driving sales growth and expanding the company's market share in the valves industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to target new clients and penetrate existing accounts
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers in the Pumps manufacturing, distribution, and end-user industries
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth areas
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and promotional materials
- Prepare detailed proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations to win new business
- Provide regular updates on sales pipeline, forecasts, and performance metrics to the leadership team
- Mentor and support the sales team to enhance their product knowledge and selling skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business development or sales, in the Pumps or industrial equipment industry
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong technical understanding of Pumps types, applications, and industry standards
- Ability to analyze complex data, identify growth opportunities, and develop strategic plans
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales enablement tools
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region to meet with clients and attend industry events
