Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our team. This individual’s primary responsibility is overseeing the sales activities related to Private Wireless business. As part of RF Connect's strategic initiatives, the Private Wireless practice will look to existing and new customers using Microsoft solutions and assist them in their transition to Cloud Services. Developing sales plans, sales activities and engaging with Microsoft and partners on business development to win deals within our customers for Cloud transformation is key to the role's success. 

This role reports to our EVP of Business Development. 

What You'll Do (responsibilities)

  • Establish, build, and manage client relationships
  • Interact with customers at the technical level, as required
  • Remain current on relevant technical information by attending meetings, conferences, task forces, and events
  • Client presentations and preparation of proposals and documents
  • Aggressively close sales
  • Apply standard processes throughout the design and fulfillment of wireless solutions
  • Perform a variety of activities and functions to support the company and help broaden your knowledge of the business.
  • Responsible for meeting assigned bookings objectives
  • Conduct consultation and strategy meetings with clients
  • Develop and manage a robust, metrics-driven sales plan in the target vertical that ensures attainment of corporate goals and key performance indicators; manage the sales pipeline
  • Proactively prospect and independently identify leads and key decision makers for target
  • Develops sales strategies that will produce maximum market penetration within the target vertical and/or region
  • Screen potential business deals/opportunities with end user customers & analyzing market strategies, deal/opportunity requirements, prospect and market potential
  • Meet or exceed sales targets through detailed account planning and weekly forecasting sessions
  • Build long lasting relationships with key industry decision makers that lead to continued sales, new upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of industry trends
  • Cultivate business relationships through networking, industry events, and outbound marketing
  • Maintain industry and technical knowledge; participate in industry tradeshows and conferences
  • Research and provide insight on competitive positioning
  • Assist in decisions involving price structure and price negotiations
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion to make decisions

Qualifications

Skills & Experience You Have

  • At least 2 years of experience in consultative sales with complex, high technology solutions.
  • Experience in one of the following: Telecommunications, Networking, Wireless, Cellular, Facility industry desired
  • Ability to work as team member

Educational/Vocational Training You Have

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required
  • Preferred Bachelors degree in Business/Communication (or related field) from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of experience, certification(s), and education

Environmental/Physical Demands

  • Must be capable of lifting within regulatory limits
  • Regular business travel required
  • In accordance with customer site requirements, COVID vaccination may be required prior to entry
