JJT Transportation and Logistics is an asset-based trucking company specializing in freight brokerage services and managed transportation. Our services have helped companies throughout North America take control of their freight / shipping needs.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for growing the JJT business through attracting new customers and by selling our van and reefer truckline, van and reefer brokerage, and our heavy haul brokerage clientele. The account executive will drive the growth of our full truckload logistics services by identifying and securing new client accounts while maintaining and nurturing existing relationships. This role involves a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and the logistics landscape.

Summary of essential job functions:

  • Identify and prospect potential clients in need of full truckload transportation services.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and extend market reach.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions.

  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.

  • Prepare and present persuasive proposals and bids to potential customers.

  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms with clients to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with operations and dispatch teams to ensure service excellence and effective logistics solutions.

  • Monitor and report on sales activity, pipeline progress, and customer feedback.

  • Attend industry conferences and networking events to represent the company and generate leads.

  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.

  • Participate in sales meetings and training sessions

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Occasional travel required

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field (preferred).

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the trucking or logistics industry.

  • Strong understanding of full truckload transportation and logistics principles.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and a strong work ethic.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
