Summary: Responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of reconciliations, schedules, financial reports or statements. Support proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. Responsible for completing projects as assigned and ensure compliance and accuracy.


Annual salary $45,000- $55,000 based on experience and interview.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Support monthly close process, preparation of preliminary consolidated financial statements and related schedules as part of monthly internal close package.

  • Prepare journal entries that include accruals, prepaid schedules, fixed asset schedules, and corporate credit cards.

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and roll forwards.

  • Support and review data that impacts the general ledger.

  • Support collaboration on workflow design on development of processes, policies, systems, controls, and compliance around expense reporting, close, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Desired Qualifications:



  • The candidate should have a minimum of an AssociateοΏ½s Degree in accounting or business administration and less than 2 years of experience.

  • Public accounting experience is a plus.

  • Government contracting accounting experience highly desired, with a strong understanding of US GAAP.

  • Demonstrated ability to work develop/maintain strong cross-functional relationships.

  • Strong understanding and using Costpoint to close Accounting related modules is a plus.


Working Conditions: Primarily in an office environment. Travel (<10%) maybe required to company sites, and meetings. Periodic weekend or evening work is expected.
