Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our Controllership team. This role involves crucial responsibilities related to financial reporting, reconciliation, and analysis across multiple subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting expertise, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
What you’ll do:
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
Review and analyze the general ledger to ensure coding accuracy.
Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions; report and resolve discrepancies.
Research and reconcile over balance sheet accounts as part of the month-end close process.
Assist in updating the pre-paid schedule to track company expenditures.
Prepare various audit schedules.
Address accounting and financial inquiries by researching and interpreting data.
Perform daily bank reconciliations and recommend or make necessary adjusting entries.
Prepare journal entries and accruals during the month-end close process, handling tasks across multiple subsidiaries.

What you should have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Two to three years of experience in general accounting as part of a large finance team.
Experience in a large corporation with multiple subsidiaries and legal entities is essential.
Experience with NetSuite and OpenAir is preferred.
Advertising/marketing industry or cost accounting experience is a plus.
Solid working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
Hands-on accounting experience in a large corporation with multiple subsidiaries in multiple locations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs; an on-site test will be part of the interview process.
Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to multitask while processing journals and reporting for multiple business units.
Capability to meet tight deadlines and provide quick turnaround for accounting deliverables.
Professional communication skills and the ability to prioritize messages when necessary.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and conversations that impact the business.
Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
