Software Developer/Tester – Mid Level

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Developer/Tester to join our team! For this position the work is remote but a onetime trip to Clarksburg WV customer site is required for processing with the customer.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:     

                                                                                                 

• Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software. Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications.
• Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
• Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms
• Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
• Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
• Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
• Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• Serves as Team leader on projects.
• Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on development team.
• Participates in development of software user manuals.
• Creates, modifies, and maintains software.
• Perform concept and requirements analyses in support of all corrective, adaptive, and perfective changed to the SOS.
• Design and execute component and system tests.
• Possess knowledge, experience, and expertise in full spectrum of the software development life cycle.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or IT related field and 4 years of experience or a combination of education and experience.
• System development in Linux environments.
• Developing code with Java and Spring
• Test case development.
• Debugging and troubleshooting
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to include preparing and delivering presentations and artifacts to customer management.
• Supporting development using Agile Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Developing micro service architectures for web and application services using virtual instances, load balancing, automated surge capability, and integrated performance monitoring.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker or OpenShift
• Developing applications using traditional SQL based database management systems or developing applications using nosql data management systems and full text searching.
• Experience with Kafka and VS Code
• Experience using Jira and Confluence
• Developing Federal information systems

Clearance Requirements:

• Applicants must have an active Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
• Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $90,200.00-$149,600.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
