JOB DESCRIPTION:
SJ is looking for a Software Developer to support a key federal project. The selected candidate will design, develop, document, test, and debug application software. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conducting analysis and collaborating with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems.
- Developing software solutions for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting.
- Determining computer user needs, analyzing system capabilities, and resolving problems related to program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
- Preparing operating instructions and designing/developing autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs.
- Ensuring software standards are met.
- Working within an Agile software development environment, utilizing the Atlassian toolset, including JIRA and Confluence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a relevant field
- 5 or more years of experience
- Active Secret Clearance
- Agile software development experience
- Experience with the Atlassian toolset
- Current Security+ certification
- Three (3) years of Java experience
- Three (3) years of JavaScript experience
- One (1) to two (2) years of jQuery experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (MA/MS)
- Seven (7) or more years of experience
- Top Secret Clearance
- One (1) to two (2) years of HTML/CSS experience
- Linux experience
- Strong testing and debugging skills
- RESTful API experience
- Experience with COTS products
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
