As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, a solid understanding of accounting principles. You will work cross functionally within a detail-oriented environment where creative problem solving is highly valued. The Senior Accountant is expected to manage multiple priorities concurrently without compromising quality, accuracy or completeness.
Responsibilities
Ownership of the accounting process, including setting up reconciliations, performing contract reviews and working with cross-functional teams to drive system improvements.
Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
From time to time, supporting areas such as fixed assets, internal use software, cost allocation and others
Identify and deliver process improvements via cross functional collaboration
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, company policies, and applicable laws.
Requirements
College graduate with a 4-year degree in Accounting or related field
2-4 years of public accounting and/or private industry experience
Ability to examine and verify financial documents, reports, and transactions; research and analyze accounting transactions; verify the accuracy of data; reconcile financial data and accounts
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and address difficult situations in a professional manner
Innovative and able to provide “outside of the box” solutions

Experience implementing and improving business processes and systems
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage deadlines effectively
Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Strongly prefer experience and proficiency in Netsuite and Gusto
