Remote Billing Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Remote Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for handling the billing process for our clients, ensuring that our services are accurately invoiced and paid for in a timely manner. You will play a vital role in the financial aspect of our company by keeping track of all incoming and outgoing invoices, and communicating effectively with clients regarding their billing inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

- Generate and accurately invoice clients for legal services rendered, including all billable hours, expenses, and any additional charges

- Process incoming payments, reconcile and apply payments to client accounts

- Review, adjust, and correct invoices as needed to ensure accuracy and compliance with client contracts and billing guidelines

- Communicate with clients regarding their billing inquiries and provide timely and accurate responses to resolve any issues or discrepancies

- Collaborate with attorneys and legal assistants to ensure all billing information is up to date and accurate

- Maintain and organize all billing and payment records in our electronic filing system

- Generate monthly financial reports for management review

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role

- Knowledge of billing procedures and legal billing guidelines

- Proficient in using billing software and Microsoft Office Suite

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

- Associate or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred but not required
