POSITION OVERVIEW: 


As a Medical Associate, you will report directly to a Medical Lead and will develop high-quality medical content and programs for clients in pharmaceutical and life science organizations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to plan and execute medical education and communications programs, including, but not limited to, medical education programs, medical and training events, and publications. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of therapeutic areas, products and stakeholders and obtain hands-on experience in the field of medical affairs and education within a supportive learning environment.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  



  • Develop and assist in the writing and management of medical content, including medical content for educational programs for accreditation, medical and training events (e.g., conferences, advisory boards), and publications 

  • Connect with clients from pharmaceutical companies, key opinion leaders in the healthcare field, and internal CTC Communication members for program development and execution 

  • Prepare and manage submissions to regulatory (e.g., PAAB), ethics (e.g., IRB) and accrediting (e.g., CFPC) bodies 

  • Manage compliance reviews using client software widely utilized by medical, regulatory and commercial departments in the pharmaceutical industry 



  • Conduct literature searches to analyze therapeutic areas, identify unmet needs, and gather relevant information to support medical content development 

  • Provide strategic input on therapeutic areas and brands to support internal accounts and medical teams 

  • Provide ad-hoc support to other functional departments, including the company president and department directors 


 


YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE IF YOU: 



  • Have completed a Master’s level science/business program or higher.

  • Have a strong interest in the healthcare, pharmaceutical and medical communications industry 

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment 

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to scientific quality and accuracy 

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and time management skills 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
