The key responsibilities are to interact with customers, prepare competitive bids and negotiate terms and
conditions in autonomously. Customer facing role where you will be responsible for winning business,
identifying new opportunities, preparation of competitive proposals and bids, contract negotiation and
compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment.
The successful candidate will be able to prepare competitive and GEV compliant tender submissions for:
High voltage (>66KV) Air insulated Switchgear (AIS) installations, testing, refurbishments, retrofitting, long terms service agreements, Engineering Studies, strategic parts and more. AIS includes live tank and dead tank circuit breakers, disconnectors, Instrument transformers and Generator circuit breakers.
High voltage (>66KV) Gas insulated Switchgear (GIS) installations, site testing, refurbishments, retrofitting, long terms service agreements, Engineering Studies, Strategic parts and more.
High voltage (>66kV) Power Transformer installations, testing, refurbishments, long terms service agreements, Engineering Studies, strategic parts and more
Role and Responsibilities
In this capacity you will be responsible for executing the countries commercial operating plan for Pacific Services business under Power Transmission (PT), managing key customer engagements and activities to ensure margin and top-line growth.
You will be responsible for (but not limited to):
Engaging with distribution and transmission Utilities, Generation companies and Industries to formulate, develop and execute competitive proposals while mitigating the operational and commercial risks.
Carrying out reviews of commercial Terms & Conditions and ensuring they are in line with GE guidelines.
Initiating and securing necessary management approvals in-line with GEV Deal-Desk Governance.
Managing the business CRM system (Salesforce) to ensure accurate data quality is regularly updated and maintained for accurate Sales plans.
Committing and delivering the monthly and quarterly business forecasts.
Mapping out market dynamics and trends. Providing timely feedback to guide product development, promotion, price, and go-to market strategies.
Meeting Growth KPIs by managing the pipeline opportunities, orders/ convertible orders, and profitability of Service business.
Developing Sales strategies for the targeted opportunities / customers of own sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes, and customer groups.
Managing support from specialized expertise, technical / operational knowledge from the broader work pool.
Work closely with Key Account Managers/ Country Managers to leverage, build and maintain close customer relationship and sales opportunities. This includes working collaboratively with internal teams during bid or tender stages of proposal, bidding, and negotiation to ensure deal closure.
Managing, supporting, and motivating Third Parties (Channel Partner) in achieving annual sales target. Review key initiatives to increase channels effectiveness and where necessary conduct/co-ordinate product training and application support to channel partner.
About you:
Electrical Engineer or Electrical trade qualification
At least 10 yearsβ experience in Service Sales/Tendering/ Projects with successful track record in Electrical High Voltage Product, Transmission substation or knowledge in energy, transmission & distribution, oil & gas, and industrial markets
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Understanding of the Service sales process (quotes, bid, tendering to sales)
Ability to develop the winning proposals for tender and bid documentation.
Ability to maintain and establish effective relationships with all stakeholders.
Prior experience of service business and first-hand view of the customers and partners in the Pacific markets is a preferred but not essential
