Role Overview:


As the Human Resources Director, you will play a key strategic role in supporting a £220M business, overseeing HR functions for 460 employees across the Americas region. This includes critical sites in California, Houston, Pittsburgh, and Brazil. Reporting directly to the sector President, you will be responsible for driving people strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring workforce effectiveness, and fostering a positive work environment.


This role requires a strategic yet hands-on HR leader with the ability to implement impactful HR programs and influence outcomes within a dynamic business setting.


 


Work Environment:


Local candidates preferred; must be able to work on-site at least 3 days a week.


 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Support and guide key site operations in California, Houston, Pittsburgh, and Brazil.

  • Drive HR strategies related to recruitment, retention, and performance management to build a high-performing workforce.

  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs across all locations.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape organizational design, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations across multiple regions.

  • Implement learning and development programs to foster employee growth and engagement.

  • Drive process improvements and the implementation of HR technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Act as a strategic advisor to the sector President and executive leadership team.


 


Critical Competencies for Success:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. 

  • Proven experience in an HR leadership role, preferably within a multinational organization. 

  • Experience in HR management within manufacturing or industrial environments, with an understanding of the challenges and dynamics of these sectors. 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage HR for geographically dispersed teams and work effectively in cross-cultural environments. 

  • Strong skills in talent management, organizational design, and employee engagement. 

  • Solid knowledge of labor laws and regulatory compliance across the Americas. 

  • Experience supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives. 

  • Strong communication, influencing, and leadership abilities. 

  • Ability to manage HR operations across multiple locations with a focus on continuous improvement.

Pay range:  
$170,000 annually
 
Within the range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to the job requirements. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to receive a variable incentive pay component. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
