Reports To: Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis 

Job Title: Financial Analyst 

Position Description: 

E-J is seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our Finance/Accounting team as a Financial Analyst. The individual will play a pivotal role in managing and analyzing the increasing volume and complexity of our financial data, driving strategic planning, and enhancing decision support across the company. This role is essential as we continue to experience significant growth and strive for increased efficiency and accuracy in our financial operations. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Prepare Analytics on Internal Financials, including the Work in Process (WIP) Schedule and Company Overheads 
  • Create and Manage Annual Budgets for High Dollar Overhead Spend Categories 
  • Prepare Bottoms Up Bank Models and Covenant Calculations to assist with Mergers and Acquisitions 
  • Evaluate the Business Needs and Implement System and Process Improvements 
  • Collaborate and Partner with teams across the company to ensure the accuracy of financial records. 
  • Drive ongoing process improvements and efficiency gains for areas of responsibility. 
  • Lead or assist on ad-hoc projects as needed

  • Proficiency in presenting findings in clear and concise presentations (PowerPoint Skills)

  • Ability to manage upwards to communicate timelines and project updates.

  1. Industry Knowledge:  

  • Understanding the Construction industry is a plus  

  1. Project Management:  

  • Skills in managing financial projects from inception to completion.  

  • Ability to coordinate with various departments and teams to achieve project goals.  

  • Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders based on financial analysis and insights.  

Requirements:

1. Education: 

  • A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting  
  • Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA or a master's in finance or accounting).  

2. Certifications:  

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) are highly regarded.  

3. Experience:  

  • Relevant work experience, typically 2-5 years is considered favorably.  
  • Big 4 Auditing background considered favorably.   

4. Technical Skills:  

  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Office), and financial modeling software.  
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.  
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.

Annual salary range: 

  • $100-115k Base
