Merlyn Mind is a "Remote First" VC-backed AI EdTech startup that brings the latest advances in AI to Education to help improve the lives of teachers and ultimately the learning outcomes of their students. Our leadership team includes talents from IBM, Amazon, Facebook, Roku, Broadcom, HP, Allen Institute for AI, and more. We have come together to build on a unified product experience for an extremely urgent mission – building a digital assistant for teachers, to untether teachers from the desk and help them with managing classroom technologies.

Merlyn Mind is looking for an experienced and driven Digital Marketing Manager to join our rapidly growing team. As Merlyn’s Digital Marketing Manager, you will be reporting into the VP of Marketing and working directly with the marketing and revenue teams to grow brand awareness and demand. You will refine, execute, and manage Merlyn’s digital marketing strategy including lead generation, partner programs, digital media (organic and paid), and Hubspot (LP and email). 

You’re capable of driving strategy with both a data-driven mindset and an understanding of Merlyn’s value position in the US K12 Education market. At the same time, you’re eager to get into the trenches and execute on a tactical level; after all, rolling up your sleeves is a big part of the fun! You will lead the execution of marketing campaigns, partnering with Product, Sales, Operations, and other key stakeholders. You will evaluate and report on the impact of marketing campaigns in achieving their stated goals.

What you'll do

    • Plan, project manage, and flight all digital marketing campaigns: email, digital media (organic and paid), landing pages, paid trade publication placements, affinity and referral programs.
    • Develop strategy, manage, and maintain our digital media presence across external channels.
    • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
    • Identify trends and insights, and consistently optimize spend and performance based on the insights.
    • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies in partnership with the outbound and channel sales teams.
    • Develop measurable experiments to increase conversion rates and incentivize high value user actions.
    • Maintain a full funnel view and collaborate with the revenue operations team to identify critical conversion and drop off points.
    • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners.
    • Continually analyze and understand the state of the K-12 pipeline, so you can react and adjust our campaign strategies and plans accordingly.

Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree in marketing or a related field or equivalent work experience.
    • 3-5 years proven working experience in digital marketing, particularly with a B2B SaaS, bonus points for EdTech experience.
    • Demonstrable experience leading and managing digital marketing strategy.
    • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
    • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels.
    • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments.
    • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, GTM).
    • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords and paid media campaigns.
    • Experience with Hubspot or similar platform.
    • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
    • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in education marketing and measurement.

The US base salary range for this role is $110,500 - $149,500, not inclusive of equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by experience, leveling, skills, qualifications and location.
