Responsibilities






Professionals in data science are responsible for extracting insights and value from large and complex datasets to inform decision-making and drive innovation within organizations. They utilize their expertise in statistics, machine learning, and data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and relationships in data and develop predictive models and actionable insights. Typical responsibilities include collecting and cleaning data from various sources, performing exploratory data analysis to understand data characteristics and relationships, and applying statistical and machine learning algorithms to analyze data and extract insights. Data science roles also involve developing and deploying data-driven solutions and models to solve business problems and optimize processes, and communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner. Additionally, professionals may be involved in designing and implementing data pipelines and infrastructure to support data processing and analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as software engineers, business analysts, and domain experts, to integrate data science solutions into applications and workflows. Their expertise in areas such as programming languages (e.g., Python, R), data visualization tools, and domain-specific knowledge enables organizations to harness the power of data to drive strategic decision-making, improve efficiency, and gain competitive advantage.

 

This position sits at the forefront of artificial intelligence and data analytics. You will be responsible for designing and developing AI and machine learning capabilities for our growing client base. You should have strong programming skills and must have professional experience in one or more of the following areas: 

  • Natural Language Processing 
  • Deep Learning 
  • Neural Networks 

You will join a team of experienced engineers, scientists and entrepreneurs bringing practical AI solutions to support innovation with our federal customers.  As part of the team, you will work closely with government clients to understand current issues and challenges, conduct rigorous data analysis, design and build solutions, and foster the clear understanding of the results. 

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

 

  • Designing and developing machine learning models 
  • Running AI and machine learning tests and experiments 
  • Evaluating new techniques and making technical recommendations 
  • Running numerous experiments in a fast-paced and fun environment 
  • Mentoring junior data analytics and machine learning engineers to improve their technical skills 











Required Qualifications






  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or related and 3+ years of experience. Or, a Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related and 1+ years of experience. 
  • Programming experience with TensorFlow, C++, PyTorch, Python and R.
  • Ability to help visualize the data for analysis and to display results. 
  • Experience with Large Language Models, Vector and Graph databases.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to get along with data scientists, engineers, and customers at all levels. 
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team-oriented environment, demonstrate teamwork and initiative, and function productively in a dynamic work environment. 








Desired Qualifications






  • Experience performing analysis of data through use of mathematical equations, sortation, tools, and optimization techniques. 
  • Experience in quantitative research.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.

USD $61,600.00 - USD $96,250.00 /Yr.
