WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 
We’re on the hunt for an Amazon Copywriter Intern with a love for writing, marketing, retail, and of course an eagle eye for detail. In this role, you will be responsible for writing high-quality, SEO-focused Amazon product descriptions, exercising quality control measures across all copies, and creating compelling marketing materials that help drive revenue growth. The range of responsibilities also involves other ad-hoc tasks including, but not limited to revisions, digital content creation, and more

We are looking for a driven individual that can strive to bring creative solutions that challenge existing practices—always striving for improvement in everything we do. The successful candidate must be able to multitask and work quickly under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.

YOUR ROLE ON THE TEAM:
You will be reporting to our Content Manager who is based in Toronto and will work among a growing team of Product Researchers, Keyword Researchers, Content Editors, Copywriters, and more. 

The Copywriter Intern will join the Copywriting Department and will collaborate closely with members within and outside of the department. All collaborations will take place to ensure the successful completion of the responsibilities listed below:
  • Exercise strong command of the English language across all copies.
  • Write and proofread Amazon Product Descriptions and other ad-hoc content.
  • Maintain high standards of content and exercise quality control on all copies.
  • Ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner and quotas are reached.
  • Fact-check and verify product/brand details.
  • Revise content and pivot as needed to meet client needs.
  • Contribute new ideas for brand growth and development.
  • Use effective keywords and SEO strategies to assume sales and results.
  • Create iconic campaign taglines and brand-positioning statements.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
We don’t believe in a strict list of “qualifications”. We care more about your passion for the industry and role, the grit you have to learn new challenges, and your ability to work well with others! 
Here are some general guidelines of what we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  • Excellent command of the English language: grammar, punctuation, spelling and syntax.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines.
  • A can-do attitude and the ability to work well in collaboration with a team.
  • A highly creative and imaginative mindset to translate clients’ marketing and sales objectives into creative ideas and copy.
  • Solid research, writing, editing, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • A self-starter with a high level of personal motivation and enthusiasm.
 
NOT REQUIRED, BUT WOULD BE A GREAT ASSET:
  • 1 year of experience in content creation, copywriting, proofreading, and brand growth. 
  • Experience writing/editing product descriptions.
  • Knowledge of Amazon/Amazon Keyword Generation/Product Ranking.
  • Experience using SEO and/or AI Writing Tools.
  • Proven leadership skills to lead a team in the future.
  • Data entry skills using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. 

JOB TYPE: Full-time Internship.
DURATION: 4 months.
WORK LOCATION: We are 100% remote!
WORK HOURS: Monday to Friday from 9 am-5 pm EST.
COMPENSATION: $17/hour
