Who is POD Marketing?

POD Marketing is a full-service digital marketing agency that offers clients a wide range of marketing solutions. Unlike other agencies, we specialize in specific industries, which makes us true experts in both digital marketing and the industries we serve.

We are looking for highly skilled and motivated Contracted Workers to join our team. As a Contracted Worker, you will play a crucial role in our organization, providing your expertise and contributing to our projects. Unlike our internal employees, Contracted Workers will have full flexibility in their work hours, as long as they meet the deadlines for their assigned tasks. They will also have the freedom to work from anywhere in the world, making this an ideal opportunity for those who value remote work.

Job Summary

Our contracted website editor is a professional word nerd; someone who understands that language is a living, breathing thing. They understand all of the technicalities of writing website copy, but they also get that good digital content means bending the rules. (Just a lil’ bit.)

As a website editor, you review our content and use your keen eye to spot typos, tonal inconsistencies, and factual errors. You understand website best practices, accessibility, and design—or you desire to learn!

You’ll give feedback directly to writers, and act as the Senior Editor’s eyes—making note of areas where writers might benefit from coaching. You’re detail-oriented, take feedback well, and are comfortable explaining complex concepts to easily distracted people. When giving feedback, you’re kind, but clear. And, of course, love and devotion for the Oxford comma is an absolute must!

Compensation for this position is based on a per-project rate.

  • Review relevant information to ensure websites are accurate

  • Ensure content aligns with website best practices

  • Ensure content aligns with each client’s tone, voice, & brand

  • An English degree, directly relevant diploma, or equivalent editing experience

  • Mastery of North American English

  • Attention to detail

  • Experience as a website content editor

  • Firm grasp of headline hierarchy

  • Strong communication skills

  • Understanding of digital marketing best practices and headline hierarchy

Nice to Have:

  • General understanding of SEO best practices

  • Familiarity with the concepts of user intent and user experience

  • Experience teaching or coaching writers

What's in it for You?

  • Full flexibility in work hours, allowing you to work at your preferred time as long as you meet the deadlines.

  • Remote work option, allowing you to work from anywhere in the world.

  • Flat-rate pay, per project pay.

  • No performance reviews or admin work, allowing you to focus solely on your assigned tasks.

  • Opportunity to work with a dynamic and diverse team and contribute to exciting projects.

How to Apply

We want to hear from you! Here are a few easy steps that will help us get to know you better:

  1. Ensure your professional resume is up to date and highlights some of the key points we are looking for.
