Bookkeeper (Hybrid Remote)

The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions using QuickBooks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This role will involve collaborating with various departments to support financial decision-making and streamline processes

Responsibilities

• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and monitor outstanding receivables. Ensure timely collection and payment processing.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements. Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.
• QuickBooks Management: Utilize QuickBooks for recording transactions, maintaining financial records, and generating reports. Ensure that the software is updated and properly configured.
• Payroll Processing: Assist in payroll preparation and maintain employee records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Tax Compliance: Support the preparation of sales tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Audit Preparation: Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to enhancing the efficiency of accounting operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is required; familiarity with other accounting software is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
